Nationality
[edit]Hoi, many scholars work abroad, in Canada or in the USA for instance. It does not make them American. From a BLP point of view, non obvious nationality requires a source imho. Thanks, GerardM (talk) 19:50, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
- It is also not obvious that she has *not* taken Canadian citizenship. And we don't actually have evidence that she is or was a South African citizen even though that seems overwhelmingly likely. So if you are interpreting the nationality in the lead as being citizenship, we should not misleadingly state that she is only South African when we don't know that. Or, you could interpret it as meaning that those are the nations in which she has been a long-term resident, in which case it's ok as is. —David Eppstein (talk) 19:58, 15 December 2019 (UTC)
