There was pretty much of a consensus at the ANI discussion that the article included way too much information about the perpetrators - each subsection amounting to a mini-article, detailing every possible bit of information about them. Nobody was willing to spend the hours going through and picking out the occasional relevant bits. If you want to take the trouble to selectively re-add significant information (not the salacious details, please, and no trivia like tattoos or gold teeth) feel free. But please DON'T revert the removal as a whole; that part of article really did need a bulldozer, not a shovel. -- MelanieN (talk) 23:07, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Of course I am not going to revert. Well, the Criminal tattoo are usually significant. Simply as a reader, I can say the text of the old version (before this removal) had to be made much shorter, but it does provide some vivid details (apparently from the sited sources), like "Batley treated women like slaves and could order women to undress and summon children to him simply by clicking his fingers" or " During cult meetings, Batley would read from occult literature, such as The Book of the Law by Aleister Crowley, as a means of brainwashing his victims, then ordered them to have sex on camera". If you think such details should be removed as salacious, I would disagree. Overall, my objection was mostly with regard to the sanctions suggested at the AN. My very best wishes (talk) 23:42, 28 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
After looking more carefully, I would rather leave current version (i.e. after the removal) intact. I think it's OK. If the creator is not topic banned, I would like to see if they will make any changes here. My very best wishes (talk) 02:27, 29 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]
