UK term?
[edit]Is this term exclusively British English? I see there's a recommendation to merge this page with Emesis basin, on which page "kidney dish" is given as an "alternate name" [sic]. Meanwhile, the page (or both) could do with an emendation regarding the term itself. -- Deborahjay (talk) 17:37, 8 June 2008 (UTC)
Sight/use
[edit]@Littleolive oil: I reverted this change because the result wasn't really grammatical, but wanted to check what you were going for -- "in common use", maybe? Did "a common sight" seem too idiomatic? -- Phyzome (talk) 11:37, 25 April 2022 (UTC)
I don't believe I have ever heard them being called emesis bowls in Australia. Kidney dish, yes, but as there are usually vomit bags etc for vomit, perhaps the term was old-world and got lost in the last 50 years here? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 218.215.44.183 (talk) 09:24, 11 May 2023 (UTC)
