Sal Inghilleri
[edit]Shouldn't this article at least mention the role of Sal Inghilleri in this case? See the following link: [1]. Thanks. (Joseph A. Spadaro (talk) 18:20, 22 February 2009 (UTC))
- here is another link regarding him. http://www.nydailynews.com/news/ny_crime/2009/02/21/2009-02-21_katie_beers_abuser_sal_inghilleri_dies_w.html —Preceding unsigned comment added by 72.79.17.96 (talk) 02:56, 2 September 2009 (UTC)
- Despite the NY Post headline, Inghilleri wasn't involved in the kidnapping. As explained in the article itself, he was sentenced for sexual abuse that had occurred long before the kidnapping. See e.g. http://www.nytimes.com/1994/08/10/nyregion/prison-term-for-abusing-katie-beers.html (about Inghilleri's sentencing) and http://www.nytimes.com/1994/07/27/nyregion/man-sentenced-to-prison-in-kidnapping-of-li-girl.html (about Esposito). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.207.97.6 (talk) 09:00, 4 November 2010 (UTC)
Stand alone article or redirect to list
[edit]- Wikipedia:Notability says "If a topic has received significant coverage in reliable sources that are independent of the subject, it is presumed to satisfy the inclusion criteria for a stand-alone article ..." The decision as to whether it should be part of a list or a stand alone article is solely based on the "significant coverage in reliable sources" and not the length of the article at any point in time. Since there are three books on the kidnapping, it can be expanded at any time. --Richard Arthur Norton (1958- ) (talk) 01:48, 19 January 2013 (UTC)

Katie Beers kidnapping → Kidnapping of Katie Beers – Per other Wikipedia articles about kidnappings, e.g. Kidnapping of Jaycee Dugard, Kidnapping of Elizabeth Smart, Kidnapping of Shani Louk, Kidnapping of Colleen Stan, Kidnapping of Shannon Matthews, etc., etc. Corgi Stays (talk) 05:08, 5 November 2023 (UTC)
- Support per nomination and WP:CONSISTENT. This may well be considered an uncontroversial technical request. —Roman Spinner (talk • contribs) 02:07, 6 November 2023 (UTC)
