Notability
[edit]No assertion of notability. How common is this phenomenon? Can it be merged with kiddush? JFW | T@lk 19:50, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- JFW: For better or worse this phenomeneon is widespread in the USA (why else would the OU issue a public statement about it? See the link), although in recent years there has been an organized gutsy drive by some rabbis to stop it, however it remains notable enough. By the way, for those who partake in it, they regard it as a "marvelous aspect" of going to shull on Shabbos day. Finally, I do agree that this information may deserve to be transplanted and then redirected to Kiddush. Thanks. IZAK 20:26, 21 May 2006 (UTC)
- I don't think it should be merged into Kiddush since the "kiddush club" appears to be more a social custom than a religious ritual. --Metropolitan90 08:43, 22 May 2006 (UTC)
