We need coords. I see תעשות בית אל just where road 652 leaves the east side of Yikhron Yaakov but maybe that's an industrial area different from where they live. Zerotalk 08:38, 23 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Not a kibbutz

[edit]

Beit El in Zichron Yaakov is not a Kibbutz. It's usually referred to as the "Beit El community". It consists of about 300 Christian Zionist German nationals who have been in Israel for about 30 years and have recently received permanent resident status. They make air filtration systems against chemical and biological warfare.

Anyway, anyone object to moving this? —Preceding unsigned comment added by No More Mr Nice Guy (talkcontribs) 17:26, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I think they call themselves that, and don't know if the term is copyrighted anyway. Before you do anything, perhaps you can confirm what the 'real name' of the organization is. Maybe they do call themselves 'Kibbutz Beith El'? --Shuki (talk) 22:07, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I see what you mean. They're not a kibbutz in the traditional sense but they may call their commune a kibbutz. Will dig around some more. No More Mr Nice Guy (talk) 22:36, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You are correct. They do indeed call themselves Kibbutz Beth El. My bad. No More Mr Nice Guy (talk) 23:11, 17 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well as you say, its not a real Kibbuts, they are registerd as a kibbuts just to make it easy for them to "bind" their members and to live in a comunity that shares all tools, homes, cars etc... it makes their life easy this way there is no real salary for them to be paid and they can "employ" voluntairs (like most of their members). the comunity owns a few companies spread over the country. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.116.199.187 (talk) 19:32, 7 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
