The logic of Kushboo's talk
Well This is about the recent issue that has been burning in Tamil Nadu, for what Kushboo said about Pre-Marietal sex. Here are my views.
Kushboo's views were basically interpreted wrongly. Kushboo was NOT wrong in my opinion. And she didn’t say anything against Tamil/Indian culture. Though I can explain in depth, the summary will only be the following,
- Kushboo meant to have sex with multiple persons. And she only has said pre-marietal sex is wrong with the loving partner
- Marriage is NOT the requirement for having sex, because, sex is the extremity of love as evident from Thirukural, Agathinai Padalgal [supposed to be the mirror of Tamil culture beyond any question], which were written 2000+ years back.
- Marriage is ONLY a social formality, to announce the society that the concerned couple will be together. Announcement is different from asking permission. I strongly believe that bondage due to "love" between the couple is stronger/persistent/ever lasting than bondage due to "social formality" such as marriage.
- Virginity [in my opinion] is NOT LOST even if you have pre-marietal sex with your partner. Virginity is by heart.
- Virginity is common for both boy and girl. When a boy is not virgin, he has no right to expect his partner as virgin.

The public was vehemently against such moral policing. Tamil Nadu has been one of the most forward states in India about women rights and rationalist thinking.
The above two lines have been REMOVED.
There is no proof for the first, and the second sentence in my opinion, with due respect is hogwash. What evidence can presented for this, I can cite many examples to prove how TN has been BACKWARD as far as women are concerned. I think still think in no way could TN be called a forward as far as gender-equality is concerned.
Temple
i'm gonna remove the reference to a temple built for her. check out this Link If somebody can provide any reference of its existence please do so. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Vij4yd (talk • contribs) 09:42, 30 December 2009 (UTC)

Kushboo → Khushbu Sundar – This spelling is used by her own Twitter and they seem about equally common in Google search results. I don't see a good reason for a mononym here. power~enwiki (π, ν) 18:54, 4 July 2018 (UTC)

Nakhat Khan vs Khushbu Sundar
I'm still unclear on how we're supposed to present the subject's birth name and public name. This interview from The News Minute includes language from the subject that's so confusing, that it is unclear what name she held at birth:
'my name has been Khushbu right from the age of seven since I was a child actor' ... Khusbhu explains that right from her passport to identity documents, her name is Khushbu alias Nakhat Khan ... 'it’s been Khushbu Sundar for the past 18 years and prior to that, since I was 7 or 8 years old, it has always been Khusbhu ... My family calls me Nakhat, my school friends and teachers call me Nakhat ... I am very proud to have my name as Nakhat Khan, I have never changed it ... Nakhat means Khusbu which is fragrance ... My name is Khusbu Sundar. And yes, my name is Nakhat. What’s your problem?'
So, she was born Nakhat Khan, but when she was 7 she started going by Khushbu, and then when she got married she added the Sundar? So do we she was born Nakhat Khan, wouldn't that belong in the lead? Cyphoidbomb (talk) 04:04, 7 July 2018 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Moved to Khushbu. (non-admin closure) signed, Iflaq (talk) 12:15, 13 June 2021 (UTC)
Khushbu Sundar → Khushbu – Ms Khushbu is known and credited mononymously and thus needs to be assigned as the primary subject of Khushbu. The now Khushbu title is assigned to a poetry volume that has 500 views as opposed to the actor's ~100k views. There can be no dispute regarding notability https://www.imdb.com/name/nm1001243/ AppuSunkad (talk) 11:00, 4 June 2021 (UTC) AppuSunkad (talk) 11:00, 4 June 2021 (UTC)
- I just created Khushbu (disambiguation) and added a hatnote, since nominator has made Khushbu a primary redirect to this page (and moved Khushbu (poetry) to a disambiguated title). It does seem like the actor is primary for Khushbu, but it's less clear to me that the mononym is her WP:COMMONNAME. Just scanning the titles of cited sources, I see 7 that use "Khushbu", 1 for "Khushbu Sundar", 10 for "Kushboo", 1 for "Kushboo Sundar", and 5 for "Khushboo". By that measure, "Kushboo" seems to be the most common name. (It's also the name used by IMDB, and the article Kushboo filmography.) As a side note, I'm now thinking Khushbu (disambiguation) should probably be merged with Khushboo, since it seems like Kushboo/Khushboo/Khushbu are just different spellings/transliterations of the same name? Colin M (talk) 02:51, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- Yes, they are different transliterations of her same name. She has been credited mononymously throughout her film career under Khushboo.
- The different spellings are because she acts in non-English films and credited in respective language and one can transliterate her name in any way. AppuSunkad (talk) 18:51, 5 June 2021 (UTC)

- she has been credited mononymously throughout AppuSunkad (talk) 18:54, 5 June 2021 (UTC)
- Agree, I was thinking of requesting a move. Kushbhu is her stage name while Sundar is the name of her husband. I find Kushbhu to be the most WP:COMMONNAME. SUN EYE 1 14:27, 6 June 2021 (UTC)
- Also, Sundar has been added only after politics, her political career is negligible and her popularity solely relies on her film career, hence her mononymity should be entertained. AppuSunkad (talk) 11:06, 8 June 2021 (UTC)
- Support per WP:COMMONNAME and WP:STAGENAME. Though the spelling is inconsistent, the subject is known mononymously. -- Ab207 (talk) 13:07, 10 June 2021 (UTC)

The result of the move request was: Moved to "Khushbu Sundar" because no objections were raised, and the validity of the reasons for the move. it's worth mentioning that "Khushbu Sundar" is a Tamil name. While South Indians are commonly addressed by their first names, this doesn't necessarily indicate a mononym. The previous page move overlooked this detail. Anoop Bhatia (talk) 04:28, 18 April 2024 (UTC)
It was proposed in this section that Khushbu be renamed and moved to Khushbu Sundar.

Khushbu → Khushbu Sundar – This has become the more common name and has been so since her marriage to Sundar C. It's also how she is credited. "Khushbu" must be a redirect to Khushboo. Kailash29792 (talk) 04:17, 10 April 2024 (UTC) (non-admin closure)
