Date of birth and verifiability
[edit]There is a anonymous user from the UK that keeps adding the date of 1820 for Khadijih-Bagum's birth. Wikipedia has a verifiability policy which states that everything included in Wikipedia must be cited by reliable sources. Reliable sources include third-party sources such as journals or academic presses. Personal websites and self-published sources are not considered reliable and cannot be used as sources.
The Concise Encyclopedia of the Baha'i Faith states that her date of birth of date is unknown. The anonymous user's additions need a reference to be included in the page. Regards, -- Jeff3000 (talk) 13:41, 15 January 2009 (UTC)
Date of Birth
[edit]I read somewhere that Khadijih-Sultan Bagum married at the age of 22, which would corespond with the 1820 birth year. 22 at the time was regarded as quiet late for girls of Persia.--Lizzie1988 (talk) 13:48, 9 April 2009 (UTC)
Yes you are right 22 was late for that time in Persia. Most girls married in their early to mid teens, most by the time there were 17-18. At the time, girls could get married as early as 9! (although it was not that popular) Bieng 22, Khadijih Bagum would have married late, considering girls could marry as early as 9. --Melaniegreyton (talk) 19:33, 10 April 2009 (UTC)
