I’ve listed this article as being “High” importance, as this is the central episode in 20th century mainstream economic (theory) history, and determined the economic policy in the United States in the post-war period. It is not quite as central as Keynesian economics, which is rightly classified as “Top” importance, but I cannot think of a more important 20th century economic (theory) history topic.
