[edit]Phrases like "political prisoner" and "active service" seem POV to me. The whole article comes across as pro-IRA.--Jkspratt 04:40, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
- 1. Active serive and ASU are commonly used terms in the media and on wiki. 2. I only used the term political prisoner as I do not know the the exact offence that was committed only that is was related to republicanism. If you have any information on the man or further sources you are genuinely welcome to add these. regards --Vintagekits 04:43, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
References
[edit]See Talk:Diarmuid O'Neill. In the article I'm proposing:
- Opening paragraph - this reference be deleted as the CAIN one covers everything.
- Background paragrapg - the troopsoutmovement reference doesn't source what is being claimed, the other two sources do. So the troopsoutmovement reference should be deleted.
- Paramilitary section - this reference be deleted, as it doesn not relate to anything mentioned in the article.
- Memorial section - this be deleted, covered already. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Stubacca (talk • contribs) 10:20, 27 April 2007 (UTC).
- What's in the PDF? For some reason Firefox won't open PDFs for me, and I'm feeling too lazy to open IE. Is it anything that might be useful to the reader, that might be worth including as an external link? One Night In Hackney303 10:22, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
- Rough cut and paste: Kevin Coen remembered - Vol Kevin Coen, IRA was killed in action against British troops at Cassidys Cross, Co Fermanagh on January 20, 1975. A fine turnout of his comrades and friends and Republicans from Cos Sligo, Leitrim, Donegal, Roscommon, Mayo and Galway was present at the ceremony on January 30. Con Darcy, Sligo presided and Mrs McGoldrick, Riverstown recited a decade of the Rosary in Irish. Declan Curneen, Leitrim, laid a wreath on behalf of Republican Sinn Féin. Dan Hoban, Newport, Co Mayo gave the oration. Mrs McGoldrick also laid a wreath on the grave of her husband, Seán, a comrade of Kevin Coen. The memorial on Kevins grave, originally unveiled by Comdt-General Tom Maguire, was recently refurbished. Stu ’Bout ye! 10:45, 27 April 2007 (UTC)
