Rename?
[edit]I suggest that the article be renamed "Kevin Boyle (lawyer)". "Political activist" hardly captures his contribution in human rights law. Brocach (talk) 19:27, 26 January 2013 (UTC)
- Interesting suggestion. He was both an academic lawyer and an activist, which set him apart from other lawyers and from other human rights activists at the time he began his career. I'm interested in him because of his work with Article 19. Can you add more about his contributions to law? Perhaps you can add a section to convince us! Thank you, Crtew (talk) 11:54, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
Organization needed
[edit]This article needs further organization. There is enough biographical information out there to warrant a "personal history and education", which is now sparse. A section on his career might focus on merging the academic positions he has held into one section and his contributions from the centers he led. His contributions to human rights law could be another section if it's distinct enough from career. His activities in human rights activism might make a nice larger section with subdivisions, early Irish activism, Article 19, Turkish treatment of the Kurds. Right now the article is not organized chronologically and points do not flow well. It's not written for quickly skimming for what is needed. Does anyone want to take a section? Crtew (talk) 12:04, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
- I've tried to tidy up the chronological order a bit. I knew Kevin, worked with him a couple of times, so I'd rather that others led on the writing; but I'm not sure that very much more is needed. Brocach (talk) 17:23, 27 January 2013 (UTC)
