The sole reason for the mention of this match is the evident controversy (per the citation) around the decisions by Blom (no assertion that he is controverial). To remove mention of this does not reflect the reality of the situation and makes the inclusion of the match in the article pointless. Mutt Lunker (talk) 22:53, 3 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]
The KNVB have never stated that they will not nominate Blom for the European Championships in 2012. The source quotes Dick Jol, a former Dutch top-level referee, who was forced to quit after a number of conflicts between him and the KNVB. He does not work for or represent the KNVB. Although Björn Kuipers is more likely to be nominated, the KNVB have never stated they surely will. Therefore, I think this line itself should be removed, as well as the reference to the source.
