Swirling?
[edit]The title of the play by Denys Amiel and André Obey directed by Kester Berwick in 1946 is given as Swirling, but this seems a little unlikely. The University of Adelaide Theatre Guild's web page cited in the References section gives the title as Swirling Madame, but since it also has "Denys Ariel" rather than "Denys Amiel" as a co-author, it may not be entirely reliable. The play is presumably an English translation of La Souriante Madame Beudet (1921), which was adapted for the film of the same name a year later, so perhaps the title should really be The Smiling Madame Beudet.
