File:Swint.jpg Nominated for speedy Deletion

[edit]
An image used in this article, File:Swint.jpg, has been nominated for speedy deletion at Wikimedia Commons for the following reason: Copyright violations
What should I do?
Speedy deletions at commons tend to take longer than they do on Wikipedia, so there is no rush to respond. If you feel the deletion can be contested then please do so (commons:COM:SPEEDY has further information). Otherwise consider finding a replacement image before deletion occurs.

Actually there are more than a few pages that link to this page now, so that issue should be resolved. It may still need to be Wikified. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Harveylovester (talkcontribs) 18:19, 27 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

As previously noted, the administrative tag regarding multiple issues with this page needs to be updated - there are now links to Kerwin Swint from other pages. Harveylovester (talk) 15:23, 7 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Conflict of Interest

[edit]

This is a quote from the image's page on Wikimedia Commons: "The creator of this page was hired by Swint to host the page..." Is this allowed?...or should this page be nominated for deletion? WQUlrich (talk) 23:55, 18 July 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, the page in question, in which I hired a web designer to create and host the page, is my main web page, www.kerwinswint.com, not the Wikipedia page. Neither myself nor anyone I know personally had anything to do with the Wikipedia article. I did give Wikipedia permission for the photo to be used after it was added, the same photo that is used on my personal web page. I don't see any inaccuracies or other issues in the article. My apologies...the image's page on Wikimedia Commons should be edited to make it clearer what other page is being referred to. WQUlrich (talk) 18:55, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
PS: If you have any further questions about COI as it relates to this article, please contact me on my personal talk page. Discussing it here is actually a COI. WQUlrich (talk) 22:43, 1 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
