[edit]This is an article about one of Australia's most successful businessmen who is one of Australia's richest men and appears in the media on a frequent basis.Rattlesnake6646 05:07, 20 September 2007 (UTC)
- Fair enough, but you needed to include this information early on to avoid the non-notable tag. All I saw was a "fund manager" I'd never heard of, and I can think of a few who aren't notable right in my own town. If he's exceptionally wealthy and gets loads of media exposure (even if concentrated mainly in one country), then his notability is unquestionable, but when I placed the tag neither fact was present in this article. -- Dethme0w 06:53, 20 September 2007 (UTC)

Interesting edit | November 2020
[edit]Lucyscroope has made a significant edit that, in part, should not be placed in the lead and, in other parts, relates to Neilson's former wife and are not relevant in this article, at all. The use of Kerr and Judith throughout the article implies that the editor may know them personally, including a reference to South Africa (described as 'here' (sic.)), and not taking a neutral point of view. Having said all that, it would appear that the editor is relatively new to Wikipedia and acted in good faith. However, a major reconstruction of the article has commenced to restore some objectivity. Finally, in no way, in its current form, is this article a stub. Rangasyd (talk) 10:21, 26 November 2020 (UTC)
