Notes, things to do
[edit]I ran out of steam so I'm leaving notes here. Things that could be done:
- mention the creation of the monument from Carerra marble in Italy and transport to Kentucky
- the ownership of the "state mound" (I believe the state owns the .52 acre piece in the middle of Frankfort Cemetery)
- what is around the monuments; how far does the area extend; what else is included in the entire memorial area or "mound"
- the archeological dig in 2004/2005 where they dug up 5 graves that had been built over with a sidewalk in the 1980s (very interesting document with lots of history and details in it; link is in External links section)
- Find some reference for the creation of the extended memorial, all-wars; so far it's been all about the 1850 monument
- Identify the other stones and headstones in the photographs; there's a big one in front of the semi-circle, center; and a tall one behind the semi-circle
If anyone needs any photographs, contact me. I can probably arrange a trip over there to take more photos.

Error on preview
[edit]There's an error related to Wikidata. I had to create a wikimedia category to put the photos in, then had to create a somethingerother in wikidata. I'm sure I messed up something or missed a step because I've never done either before. If you edit this article, then preview, it will give you an error related to the wikimedia commons template in External links. I couldn't decipher the error, nor figure out how to fix it.
