Jargon
[edit]Is there some sort of anti-jargon diktat in Wikipedia? The article presently says this:
- As a career training provider, the Kentucky Female Orphan School identified the needs of the community, the resources in the area and the demand for higher education. The intention was to empower disadvantaged women with an education in the field of teaching.
That fits the PC lingo of today, but what it actually means is that the school taught young women to be teachers. The rest is claptrap. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.220.165.202 (talk) 15:21, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
Race
[edit]Was the school racially integrated? I bet not. The entry should discuss this. If it was integrated it would be a refreshing surprise 98.220.165.202 (talk) 15:31, 2 June 2013 (UTC)
