Meeks picture
[edit]The picture of Kennedy Meeks is being removed repeatedly, but I see nothing wrong with it. The edit summary stated Meeks requested it to be removed, but Wikipedia is not censored, and the subject of the article does not get to dictate what is written about him. Are there any policy-based reasons for removing the picture? Of course, if a higher quality picture exists, feel free to edit that one into the article instead; there's just no reason to remove a perfectly good picture and leave nothing. ~ RobTalk 15:34, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- A replacement image that was added has been removed while it is under discussion at Wikipedia:Non-free_content_review#File:Kennedy_Meeks_against_Louisville.2C_Jan_31.2C_2015.gif. —Bagumba (talk) 18:20, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- And since it flagrantly violates our non-free policy I have deleted it. If the subject wants to provide a new image with a Wikipedia-compatible license, that would be the best thing all round. Black Kite (talk) 18:38, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
- With the caveat that it must be better than the one already in use, of course. No selfies, please. ~ RobTalk 18:59, 9 July 2015 (UTC)
