The Kenezites are a clan associated with the Hebrews... This introductory sentence and its link are a bit misleading and not entirely correct. If Kenezites come from Kenaz, a descendant of Esau, they are not descendants of Jacob. However, they are all descendants of Eber and therefore all Hebrew in origin. The twelve tribes of Israel begin with Jacob's twelve sons. By the end of the Exodus, the terms Hebrew and Israelite become synonymous. It would be more correct to say that The Kenezites are a Hebrew clan that became associated with the Israelites... 70.137.180.218 00:24, 14 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
