Name
[edit]According to Snake, his autobiography, his full first name is Ken, not Kenneth. 151.151.21.100 (talk) 18:11, 14 May 2008 (UTC)
DUI
[edit]He's been poped for DUI three times including June 9th 2008. Proxy User (talk) 09:28, 10 June 2008 (UTC)
Yeah, I'm not sure why these aren't mentioned in the article, at least in some form...it can be done in an encyclopedic manner...why is there protection going on?Atlantabravz (talk) 13:46, 12 June 2008 (UTC)
- Please see WP:NPOV. Adding three arrests that the man was never convicted for serves what purpose? --SmashvilleBONK! 03:29, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Stabler has been convicted twice. I added a "Legal Troubles" section that has a reliable reference that does mention the convictions. Adding the fact that this man has been arrested three times and convicted twice only gives a factual biography of Ken Stabler. It does not give a biased point of view.Gamecockbo (talk) 19:00, 14 July 2008 (UTC)
- Your version is better. The old one was a little...iffy. --SmashvilleBONK! 16:30, 15 July 2008 (UTC)

I was going to say the same thing. He's had some DUIs. Convicted or not, something tells me that if he were a black athlete, they'd be listed. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 75.28.78.38 (talk) 19:43, 11 October 2009 (UTC)

Personal
[edit]The "Personal" section has three entries, all of which include "currently" instead of a date. It is impossible to know when "currently" means, and will eventually be out-of-date, so those reference should be changed to dates. — Preceding unsigned comment added by GregE625 (talk • contribs) 15:01, 4 August 2012 (UTC)
IP edits
[edit]These IP edits by 99.51.66.127 seem to betray a conflict of interest, adding information about charity work and removing referenced info about arrests. --Jameboy (talk) 23:15, 30 January 2014 (UTC)
One of the Best Games
[edit]One of Ken Stabler's best games that reflected his style and most exciting was the December 21, 1974 Playoff game against the Miami Dolphins. The Raiders won in the final seconds with the, "Sea of Hands," reception by Clarence Davis. The receptions in that game by Fred Biletnikoff, (the pine tar catch), and Cliff Branch, (catching it on his back), were spectacular. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1974%E2%80%9375_NFL_playoffsEaseltine (talk) 14:36, 19 July 2014 (UTC)
Starting record at Alabama
[edit]According to multiple sources (and the earlier part of this article), Ken was a backup during his sophomore year when the team went 9-1-1. Why is this being added to his career record as a starting quarterback at Alabama? Shouldn't it be 19-2-1 as a starter? The number seems to have been lifted word for word from a news report that incorrectly summarized his career record this way (while also making it clear that he didn't start as a sophomore). His career as an active player was 28-3-2, not his starting record.

Popular culture
[edit]Removed this unsourced trivia. If you feel it worthy and factual, add it back.
