More info needed on earlier career

[edit]

This article is lacking on information. While it states Ken Guild was first elected in 2007, this was actually his third spell as a councillor in Dundee. He was a member of Dundee District Council for the old Broughty Ferry ward from a by-election c 1984 until he was defeated by the Conservatives in 1992. He regained his old seat for the new Dundee City Council (elected in 1995, but not in office until 1996), but was again defeated in 2003 by a Conservative. I think he had also had earlier attempts to be elected to the District Council, and between his first two spells as a councillor unsuccessfully stood for one of the seats on Tayside Regional Council. Unfortunately I do not think this information would be anywhere but in local newspaper reports, making it difficult to add in with citations. If anybody does have accesses to relevant sources it would be good to see this information on his earlier career added in. Dunarc (talk) 21:32, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]
