Callous phrasing

[edit]

Is it just me, or is this article stub-quality, and extremely 'harsh'? The words "arse" and "twat" were both linked to the WP articles - WP:CONTEXT. These words were quoted, as are other phrases which posses no citations - I'm slightly concerned about the tendency towards libelous comments here, and would appreciate someone taking a look at this from a good point of view - WP:POV. The article itself needs a rewrite. The criticism section is completely un-sourced, and quite vague (the sentence "he has made some criticisms of famous people" isn't really saying much at all. McDanger 14:18, 14 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This article does need a great deal of work sure. But anybody who knows Kelly Jones is aware he has a great sense of humor and wit but he has a highly cynical outlook and has gained a reputation for slagging off other artists so if he did say those things it is not in the least bit surprising. They should be referenced though and I fail to see how it really helps the article ♦Blofeld of SPECTRE♦ $1,000,000? 15:25, 18 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The contribution of Kelly's gorgous looks also takes Stereophonics success to its highest!! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 89.127.176.66 (talk) 10:36, 20 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

British English

[edit]

Spelling in this article should be British, not American for consistency throughout the article and because the subject is a British person. This is in line with Wikipedia's guidlines. See [1] for details.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 92.2.80.233 (talkcontribs) 02:50, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Which is precisely why I changed the spelling to British English (BrE) "travelled" from the American English (AmE) "traveled" in the first place, but you have now again restored the AmE spelling of the word. I have therefore restored it back to BrE spelling yet again. Please see American and British English spelling differences - Doubled consonants.--♦Tangerines♦·Talk 02:54, 4 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Poetry

[edit]

It says Kelly Jones has published works of poetry... could we have a bibliography of these? I'd love to find out more about these, but the article just mentions them in passing as though it's unimportant. I think there should be more on this. --87.113.119.39 (talk) 16:06, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

ps - it would also be good if the article mentioned whether or not Kelly can speak Welsh (I've heard that it is in fact his first language, but I've seen no evidence for it, and he's never written any songs in Welsh for Stereophonics). It would be good to know one way or the other. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 87.113.119.39 (talk) 16:07, 25 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

What?

[edit]

British English, American English, whatever: could someone translate this sentence into something that actually makes sense, possibly taking the time to include the correct antecedent for the final "his"?

Controversy

[edit]

The controversy section is pretty weak, both in its premise and evidence. Having a troubled relationship with the press is not exactly rare among famous musician, and neither is criticising other celebrities. At best either is a "minor" controversy, hardly worthy of mentioning. I propose deleting this section and moving any relevant sentences to other sections.
