Mumby points tally
[edit]How many points did Mumby score for Northern? The official record says 1,828. However I'm not sure how that score is reached when you add up his 68 (or 84) tries and 779 goal kicks (4 for a try and 2 for a goal then right?)That comes to 1830, unless we're counting 2 drop goals here. And that's another thing, there seems to be no mention of drop goals. It seems a bit hard to conceive Mumby played 20 years and never scored a drop goal. Some clues here: http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/archive/2006/05/18/Bradford+Bulls+%28rugbyleague_bulls%29/765299.Deacon_s_staying_at_Odsal/ http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/sportbulls/1210334._Sir_Keith__favourite_for_full_back_slot/ http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/archive/2003/02/26/Bradford+District+Archive/8017425.Northern_stars_line_up_for_homecoming/ Kaleeyed (talk) 14:24, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
- Just noticed the page for Bull Masters team on Bradford Bulls site gives try talley as 68, http://www.bradfordbulls.co.uk/content/History/3575/Bull%20Masters%20-%20Keith%20Mumby
However the Millenium Masters and Team of the Century say he scored 84 tries http://www.bradfordbulls.co.uk/content/History/3583/TEAM%20OF%20THE%20CENTURY
This article from the t&a also says 84 tries: http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/sport/sportbulls/1210334._Sir_Keith__favourite_for_full_back_slot/
Which is right?? If he scored 84 tried his overall points would be much more than it is recorded as. Kaleeyed (talk) 14:24, 7 September 2011 (UTC)
