Merge proposal

- The result of this discussion was Merge. TRL (talk) 23:06, 1 April 2024 (UTC)
I propose merging Anastasia Mayers and Keisha Schahaff into a new page. At present, much of the content on these two pages is the same, so it doesn't necessarily make sense to have them separated. I'm open to keeping them separated, though, too. Significa liberdade (talk) 05:09, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
- I support the merger proposal, I agree it makes sense. JLo-Watson (talk) 19:05, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- sounds good to me 1.33.204.209 (talk) 17:50, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- Merge per nom. CROIXtalk 19:11, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- Oppose merge, as Anastasia Mayers is the youngest woman (or youngest person depending on the text language) to travel to space and thus should have her own page. Randy Kryn (talk) 13:41, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
- Merge: both are notable for the same event: the lottery win. Their history is best discussed together. Formal reasons for merging are overlap, context and short text. Klbrain (talk) 15:49, 25 November 2023 (UTC)

Not notable
[edit]She did not travel beyond the internationally recognized boundary to space. Virgin galactic flights are just glorified rollercoaster rides, now what are we going to create an article for every person who rides a plane or a rollercoaster? Therefore i nominate this article for deletion. Μιχαήλ Δεληγιάννης (talk) 15:26, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- There was independent and reliable coverage about her, is there a problem with the sourcing? @Mikedelis CROIXtalk 16:28, 11 August 2023 (UTC)
- There is a prima facie case for at least 1E notability, as the U.S. government defines space starting at 80km, and she breached that limit, being the first Caribbean woman into "space", and the first mother-daughter pair. There are many news reports covering her, so she appears to at least be 1E notable. -- 67.70.25.80 (talk) 04:10, 12 August 2023 (UTC)
- But Anastasia Mayers is currently the youngest person to travel into space, so to merge or delete the entry apparently would fail to recognise that. 2A00:23C5:2D35:2601:7034:5B5F:452E:8AF6 (talk) 08:05, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
- Very notable. Randy Kryn (talk) 13:58, 4 October 2023 (UTC)
