[edit]

I have removed the image from the infobox. Despite any particular Wikiproject's guideline to the contrary, the image does not meet WP:NFCC, as no argument about fair use under Japanese law applies to Wikipedia. Note that WP:3RR does not apply to removal of images that violate WP:NFCC, but our blocking policy does apply to editors the chronically insert them.—Kww(talk) 14:51, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Well that's interesting, except that no argument about fair use under Japanese law was ever made! Everybody stand back, Kww's got some Admin'ing to do. Dekkappai (talk) 15:04, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
"Japanese laws have particular requirements that private photos of celebrities are most-often out of bounds, so for AV actresses, separate rules apply, which have been pointed out to User:Hullaballoo Wolfowitz" from WP:ANI report. Please don't distort the situation. There are no separate rules for AV actresses, and the argument that there was was based on Japanese law.—Kww(talk) 15:09, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Statement made at the ANI report, not at any of the edit-wars over the image removals. Yes, delete them already. I uploaded them, and I've expected their deletion for what? 3? 4 years? It's the ham-handed oafery of Deletionists in doing even this simple task which caused all this... Dekkappai (talk) 15:14, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
I would watch statements like "ham-handed oafery" as well. There's no need to make this into an attack on editors or attitudes. Fair-use images that are orphaned are deleted after 7 days, not immediately.—Kww(talk) 15:19, 28 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]
