The real name

The real name of Kaz Hawkins is Karen McIntyre, that's a mistake in this page. It is not a mistake as Kaz Hawkins legally changed her name by deed poll in May 2014. We discovered this in our ongoing research as we are making a documentary on her life. Kaz references it at times during interviews like this interview with Shout Out To Women where she explains the legal change is in memory of her muse Etta James.
