The Chandraseniya Kayastha Prabhus or CKPs of Western India should be removed from the list of subdivisions of Kayasthas from across the page. CKPs are listed in Gazetteer and other ethnological sources to have been a division of the "Prabhu" castes of Western India, with Pathare Prabhus being their sister caste (as mentioned on the main CKP page). CKPs aren't considered as a subdivision or subgroup of Kayasthas anywhere in India. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 103.157.187.130 (talk) 18:42, 15 July 2023 (UTC)

https://currentaffairs.adda247.com/richest-caste-in-india/ refrence this and add kayastha as the richest hindu caste. Spirithero (talk) 07:40, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
- Not done It's not clear whether that's a reliable source, and it does not explicitly say that Kayastha is the richest Hindu caste. Also make sure to submit requests in a "change X to Y" format so we know what text you want to add and where to add it. Thebiguglyalien (talk) 19:16, 22 October 2024 (UTC)
Money and Power
[edit]Kayasth are very rich people often coming from zamindar ancestry they were loyal to both british and the mughal aiding to the groups success in many fields , they are revered as high in cast system as the brahmins and in some places (mainly bengal and awadh) even more high than the brahmins . source = https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kayastha#:~:text=According%20to%20Christian%20Novetzke%2C%20in,status%20of%20CKPs%20as%20Kshatriya.
Kayasth are also the richest hindu caste leaving behind Baniyas and Brahmins , they have achieved this feat due to their vast knowledge and focus on education . source = https://currentaffairs.adda247.com/richest-caste-in-india/
Kayasth are also very prominent in politics because due to their powerful and educated ancestry they have many political affiliations mainly in the UP-Bihar-Bengal-Assam-Odisha region , being the richest in Bihar and having the most percentage of government workers in their caste they are the biggest donors to many bihar's regional parties mainly the JDU . source - https://www.thehindu.com/news/national/bihars-caste-based-survey-report-shows-yadavs-hold-most-govt-jobs-among-obcs/article67509087.ece . In U.P the Kayasth are rather less in number in rural areas but hold weight and power in all urban cities (Gorakhpur,Lucknow,Prayagraj, varanasi and kanpur ) , As of now The kayasth are being chased by both the SP and BJP for their education, intellect and money . AT the time most of them support the BJP but they are being given more importance in the SP at the current moment , It is safe to say that due to their educated background Kayasth have been enjoying more representation and power even when they are less in population but their power, money and education keeps increasing generation by generation . https://timesofindia.indiatimes.com/city/lucknow/rattled-by-sps-kayastha-show-bjp-reaches-out-to-caste-leaders/articleshow/66210712.cms In Bengal and Odisha the demographics rapidly change the all of Bengal-Odiya politics is dominated by Kayastha names and organizations , They have a good amount of population percentage in bengal and like all the other states are the richest and most educated group of people in Odisha , In Bengal historically Kayasth were considered upper than the Brahmins , the beliefs have not yet changed as Bengal still is dominated by the Kayasth community https://indianexpress.com/article/opinion/columns/west-bengal-assembly-elections-2021-caste-politics-bjp-tmc-7253385/ , Odisha has never seen a different caste CM except Brahmin and Kayasth . https://caravanmagazine.in/politics/brahmin-kayastha-hegemony-re Spirithero (talk) 08:41, 21 September 2024 (UTC)
