Kay Warren Identity

[edit]

Hi CJLL Wright! Good day to you. I created this message to kindly inform you about the identity of Kay Warren. Kay Warren is a different person to Kay Barbara Warren. Our team was planning to create a Wiki page for Kay Warren but we noticed that this has been already taken by Kay Barbara Warren but using the article title as "Kay Warren". If you want to be sure of the veracity of this you can check http://kaywarren.com/, and you will be able to verify that Kay Warren is a different person to Kay Barbara Warren. Having presented the issue, let me also provide a solution. This can be solved by changing the name of your Article to "Kay Barbara Warren" and not "Kay Warren. I will be waiting for your response. Thank you. --Createdlymarky (talk) 10:41, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Kay B. Warren is generally referred to and credited as "Kay Warren". What we do when there are multiple people with the same name is that we locate the articles at e.g. "Kay Warren (anthropologist)" and the other at e.g. "Kay Warren (Christian author)" - then we often place a link at the top of one article to the other so that anyone who comes to one biography looking for the other can easily find the person they are looking for. Additionally, the way you say "our team" suggests that you may be working with the other Kay Warren as part of her public relations team - inf that is the case, then you should know that our policy on WP:COI suggests that biographic articles should not be created by someone working for the person who is described in the biography. This may be considered a form of paid editing, and is frowned upon. Additionally all conflicts of interests must be declared before editing on topics with which one may have such a conflict of interest. Also please make sure that any articles you create are notable as evidence by multiple third party sources (i.e. sources not directly related to the person such as promotional websites)·maunus · snunɐɯ· 11:26, 13 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]
