Handlebar Complaint

[edit]

Question: How "common" is the handlebar style really? It can't possibly be as common as the fairing buzz problem, can it? Also, what is the source for all these complaints? Personal experience and anecdotal evidence? —Preceding unsigned comment added by Brianporter (talkcontribs) 07:22, June 15, 2006 (UTC)

Anybody want to change that picture to something more professional? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by Brianporter (talkcontribs) 01:47, August 21, 2007 (UTC).

Yes, this picture is outdated. I'll be taking a good shot of the new model this week and putting that in place of the current one, if it's OK DeABREU (talk) 15:27, 17 September 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Corroding Gas Caps Complaint

[edit]

I removed the complaint about corroding gas caps because it is clearly not a common complaint; in fact, it was hard to find anyone who experienced it. Also: The wording was vague and imprecise, and there was no evidence (citation) to support the claim. Brianporter (talk) 02:48, 4 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Top Speed

[edit]

In my recent update of the page to use tables, I removed the information about top speed. My rationale is that there are no documents I can find which confirm that there is any sort of electronic limiter on the top speed. From personal experience, I also find the assertion questionable, at best. Until somebody can find a citation for such a fact, this speculation should be left out. Rev limiter

[edit]

Hi Scott,

I agree with your decision to remove the top speed.

Though the RPMs are limited (I've experienced this myself on my own bike in a low gear), the top speed still remains theoretical, since in 6th gear, even with the throttle wide open, the bike cannot reach maximum RPMs--there's just not enough power to get the bike wound up that fast.

Model is not discontinued

[edit]

The article states that production ended in 2018. That may be true in some markets, but as of 2024 the Ninja 650 is still sold by Kawasaki in Canada at least. https://www.kawasaki.ca/en-ca/motorcycle/ninja/sport/ninja-650/2024-ninja-650 Alehanro999 (talk) 00:09, 5 May 2024 (UTC)[reply]
