Fleet Info
[edit]This section is inching a little towards WP:NOT & WP:CRUFT with the inclusion of dates of revenue service, types of adverts and locations & some of the statements made which lack citations and are not verifiable. Will the editors who edit this section please chime in? I'm sure all these information can be condensed into the Serial Number section similar to Kawasaki Heavy Industries C151. Information like the dates need to be verifiable from an official third party source as Wikipedia rules state you must use a third party source. Unless a source is provided, the information is not credible and will have to be deleted. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 15:56, 27 December 2011 (UTC)
- Hi. I'm a member of a train enthusiasts forum named Singapore Trains (SGTrains) which has the sources from members in the forum stating the dates of revenue service, types of adverts and locations and etc. And I hereby declared that Singapore Trains (SGTrains) is not affiliated with any transport companies, operators, or any ministries. The information posted here may or may not be accurate. SGTrains Management shall not be held liable or responsible for any damages caused by use of information from this site. We also have our own sites for updating info via social network by Facebook or Twitter, and also by YouTube. Sni56996(Talk) 16:22, 29 December 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks for responding but the forum you cited is not a valid source. See WP:RELIABLE & WP:SPS. Until a valid source is provided all the information posted is not credible and will be deleted. - Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 16:26, 29 December 2011 (UTC).
- Hi, I'm the one who added that section. I'm also a user of that specific forum stated as above. Although I believe philosophy that there is no valid source unless from the relevant authorities, the specific forum so far have reliable sources from "trainspotters" who spots for trains everyday. I'm very sure no transport operator in the world will ever announce to the public when a specific train set comes out for revenue services. Neither will a common man notice a "new train". Like what said above, the forum has no affiliation with any ministries or transport operator. But the "trainspotters" notices new train sets coming out everyday. It is reported realtime via social networks eg. Facebook. So the only available and the closest to "reliable" sources come from the specific forum above. Fundamentally, if the above forum does not report on the date, there is no way to get any sources. Maybe able, if you are a staff of the operator concerned. Lee480(Talk)
- A forum is still a forum regardless how you want to spin it. It is not considered a valid source as per policy. Wikipedia is not a fan site for trainspotters to populate with fancruft.- Rgds. Planenut(Talk) 14:57, 4 January 2012 (UTC)

All (the twenty-two sets) had arrived in Singapore as of 19 December 2011 and already went into revenue service as of 7 February 2012. Trains started services in batches.
