Current Employment at NCSU
[edit]Dr. Mack's current employment at the University of North Carolina State University needs to be updated in the infobox, but I don't know how to parse Wikidata. kencf0618 (talk) 02:21, 2 January 2018 (UTC)
- Kencf0618, can you be more specific at what information exactly you want to change and how ? —TheDJ (talk • contribs) 21:05, 26 March 2019 (UTC)
- It's already been taken care of, thanks. kencf0618 (talk) 15:49, 27 March 2019 (UTC)
Nationality/citizenship/birth place
[edit]I cannot find any good sources for Mack's nationality, citizenship, or birth place. Context:
- English Wikipedia
- Infobox has United States of America as birthplace since December 2023, but without a source: Special:Diff/1226468150
- Categorization: multiple categories by nationality. It started in 2017 with Australian astrophysicists, but was changed to American astrophysicists on the the same day.
- Wikidata had Australia as citizenship without sources since 2019: wikidata:Special:Diff/867500650, I deleted it today.
I could only find the following mentions of countries in databases:
- https://orcid.org/0000-0001-8927-1795, which lists Canada in "Countries", citing "Katherine Mack 2016-01-24". However, Orcid doesn't clarify what it means by "Countries" – residence, birth place, citizenship?
- Side note: Mack's LinkedIn page says "Waterloo, Ontario, Canada" as the location, and the official website is registered with a Canadian registrar (source: [1])
- French database https://www.idref.fr/253671094 has
Pays : Etats-Unis d'Amérique // Date de naissance : 1981
, which Google translates toCountry: United States of America // Date of birth: 1981
- A Polish database https://dbn.bn.org.pl/descriptor-details/9811738674405606 has
Obywatelstwo Australia
, which translates toCitizenship Australia
(see also interwikis of pl:Obywatelstwo), but it uses Wikidata as source for this information. - German National Library lists
Land: USA (XD-US)
, translation:Country: USA (XD-US)
.

- I removed all mentions of nationality: on enwiki and on Wikidata. —andrybak (talk) 08:46, 17 July 2024 (UTC)
