Proposal for Deletion
[edit]There was a proposal for deletion (PROD) on this article because it was an unsourced biography of a living person. I added a solid source from IMDB; and her former band KSM is also well-sourced at AllMusic and other places. So I removed the PROD because the only issue cited by the nominator was lack of sources for a BLP. However, I'm not sure if Katie Cecil meets the requirements for independent notability based on her own acting, and most of her notability is actually in connection with the band KSM which already has an article with plenty of group-level sources. If anyone is still concerned about the viability of this article, I suggest going through the Article for Deletion process and see if it survives community debate over her independent notability. Also, this article is currently nothing but a big copy and paste from her IMDB entry, which the creator didn't even bother to cite. I will clean that up. --DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 13:17, 6 September 2010 (UTC)
- Update: I took care of the big copyvio problem and added a "notability" tag. --DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 13:41, 6 September 2010 (UTC)

Merge Proposal
[edit]Way back in 2010, I added a call for more evidence of notability to this article, and now there is a merge proposal to KSM (band) from about six months ago that has gotten no comments. Except for some local music, Katie Cecil has not gained much notability as a public celebrity since 2010 so I agree with the proposal to merge to KSM. Will do so in bold fashion now. ---DOOMSDAYER520 (Talk|Contribs) 18:56, 1 February 2018 (UTC)
