Birth Date

[edit]

I've edited the article to remove specific birth date information and added sources indicating she was born sometime in the late 40s. For more, see this discussion on BLP Notice Board.--Bbb23 (talk) 01:58, 15 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I linked to the discussion on the BLP Notice Board and offered a more detailed explanation of how I use LCNAF (Library of Congress Name Authority Files) to help track down a "reputable" source for birth date & year info. Christian Roess (talk) 08:32, 17 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you, Christian, I've responded over there. Please take a look.--Bbb23 (talk) 00:38, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]
My pleasure, Bbb23. I responded over there again at the BLP. I'm leaning toward listing her birthdate on the Marton wikipedia article as (April 3, 1948/49?), but I don't have the final say.Cheers. Christian Roess (talk) 14:30, 18 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Parents in Jail

[edit]

BBb23, thanks for the revert. First her father and then also her mother were jailed by the Communist Government. That is why her siblings and her were handed over to strangers to raise.[1] --Javaweb (talk) 16:27, 27 February 2011 (UTC)Javaweb[reply]

If you have the book and it says that, do you think you could add it to the article? I can't do so because I can't verify the contents of the book.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:39, 27 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]
BBb23,I have added the reference.

Mother's Maiden Name

[edit]

The name of her mother is given as Ilona Marton. It would perhaps be better to (also) give the mother's maiden name, which was was Ilona Nyilas (see [Elhunyt Marton Endre] (in Hungarian). I believe (though I am not sure) that the mother used the name Ilona Nyilas as a journalist in Hungary, and not her married name. Mateat (talk) 15:01, 5 February 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Affair

[edit]

Why not mention the affair she had with R. Cohen while she was married to Jennings? I believe it was public knowledge at the time and cause of their divorce. 72.69.210.72 (talk) 16:32, 26 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
