A user under the name of User:Rep kathy webb made some edits to the page this morning (diff), causing me to post a COI warning on that user's talk page. Subsequently, a COI tag has been added to the article. Having looked over the edits made by the potentially-conflicted user, I don't think there's much to worry about. The edits were in three parts:
changing "over 56 percent of the vote" to "57 percent of the vote"
Note: according to the ref, Webb won 56.50% of the vote. Having run the calculation myself, the exact number is 56.502572%, which does indeed round to 57%
editing the list of committee memberships
Note: the previous list included out-of-date information (she was vice chair of the JBC last session; this session she's co-chair) that this user corrected
adding additional awards
Note: I've not googled each award, but it would certainly be possible to verify each one. I personally think that the list of awards adds nothing to the article and would be in favor of removing entirely but, if it stays, it should certainly be up-to-date
In summary, I don't think that the potentially-conflicted edits are cause for concern. The COI tag states that a "major contributor to this article appears to have a close connection with its subject". Based on the limited edits made this morning, I don't think it's fair to call User:Rep kathy webb a "major contributor" to this article nor do I think there's any further cleanup needed to comply with Wikipedia policies.
