Where's Katha?
[edit]As near as I can tell, Katha Pollitt hasn't written anything since March; at least that was the last time her column appeared in the Nation, and I don't find anything in other periodicals either. The article notes that she was married in April. Is this related to her absence? Will she be back soon? She is one of my favorite columnists (even though I disagree on certain points) and I'm seriously jonesin'. Two months without Katha is pushing my limit. 171.159.64.10 01:23, 27 May 2006 (UTC)
- She's back! Hooray! 171.159.64.10 00:14, 20 June 2006 (UTC)
Crazy?
[edit]Uhm...
"Besides being crazy,...." is how Katha Pollitt's page starts out. Is this objective, or a sly condemnation? —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 76.188.155.238 (talk • contribs) 20:24, 24 Jun 2007 (UTC)

Best known for ?
[edit]The article text starts off saying KP is best known for her column, but a later paragraph says she is equally well known for her poetry and her nonfiction. It seems inconsistent. Kdammers (talk) 04:31, 28 September 2012 (UTC)
First I heard of her being a poet, frankly, and it's my field. Eleven years after she wrote it, Katha Pollitt is probably still best known to the general public for her article "Put Out No Flags," written not a month after 9/11. (Oct 8, 2001 The Nation.) http://www.thenation.com/article/put-out-no-flags#"My daughter, who goes to Stuyvesant High School only blocks from the World Trade Center, thinks we should fly an American flag out our window. Definitely not, I say: The flag stands for jingoism and vengeance and war." The Wiki article already contains some typical reactions to it. Profhum (talk) 03:52, 30 November 2012 (UTC)
