Adding a Criticism Section
I think adding a criticism section is necessary to see critics views on her work. Amancini (talk) 02:35, 8 May 2017 (UTC)

Kate Chopin was certainly not in Nirvana and was not known as Kurt Cobain. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 198.98.45.92 (talk) 19:45, 31 January 2012 (UTC)
There is uncertainty about the year and date of birth of Kate Chopin. Biographer Emily Toth gives the year as 1850, while Marilynne Robinson gives it as 1851.
Curiously, both February 8 and July 12 turn up as her birthday. --Jose Ramos 08:15, 14 Aug 2003 (UTC)
There is also discrepancy re: the number of childeren she bore - either 5 sons and 1 daughter, or 5 boys and 2 girls - 9/12/04 (User: Bill Dulle)
Sorry, but Cloutierville is NOT a Cajun area...that is in south, central, Lousiana. The area around Cloutierville and in particular, Natchitoches (nearby) WAS settled by the French, but NOT Acadian (Cajun) French who came from Canada. Suellen Eyre 11 July 2005.
Do you know from when this picture approximately is? She could be 30 there or 50 ... --DE: Regenspaziergang (137.248.1.11 15:18, 18 December 2005 (UTC))

This page needs more information. Her life and her works have no common ground in this article....very untrue!!
The description of The Awakening is a bad undergraduate essay (I've read enough of them), but if it's a "class project" that would explain the easy assertion of what it is that ignores a wealth of far more interesting and credible criticism. It's a shame given that students so frequently turn to Wikipedia because much of the site is so good. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:2C6:4204:83CE:F082:63CA:5452:C8EC (talk) 06:11, 23 August 2017 (UTC)
