Surname

[edit]

Accodring to the info from pl wiki, German name was Dönhoff, the name used by the polonized branch of the family was Denhoff - I think we should not use the mixed 'Doenhoff', but Dönhoff for the German branch (and ancestors), and Denhoff for the Polish one.-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  17:39, 25 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hard to decide without sources, as even on the Polish pages references are scarce. For sources in english language, one has to look for Donhoff it seems, or even Given Name: Kasper Prince Of -- Matthead discuß!     O       18:24, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
True, but I'd like us to limit the naming of the variants (honestly, I don't mind either variant as long as we are consistent). There is now a stub at Dönhoff where this can be elaborated on if needed. Would you object to moving this to Kasper Denhoff and keeping all of the Polish branch under 'Denhoff' surname?-- Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus | talk  18:35, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
