CURRICULUM, SYLLABUS AND SCHEMES OF WORK SECOND YEAR LLE COURSE.
Curriculum,Syllabus and schemes of work are related in that they all contain the contents that are needed to be taught in schools and are interdependent.
(A)_ A curriculum is the sum total of all the subjects and activities that are taught and take place within the school; the activities that are beneficial to the life of the children.
_There is also dark curriculum.This is where learners learn thngs unconsciously.For instance, greetings and respect for elders.
(B)THE SYLLABUS.
_ This is an outline of what should be taught in schools yearly.The syllabus is part of the curriculum.
_ The syllabus includes goals,content,resources aims learning experiences objectives planned for pupils both in and out of school and community through interaction and related programmes.
_ The Ministry of Education syllabus contains the content of intructions in a given study and the the range of knowledge and skills which pupils must acquire.It contains the individual topics that must be studied each year.Some type of syllabuses include:grammatical,structural and situational.
