A1 Grand Prix
[edit]Karl was 2nd driver at Laguna Seca in the 2005/2006 season. Does this not constitute A1 GP 2005/6 in his career results? --Greg Nail 12:11, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Did he race? Does Jon Crooke get credit for his car winner Bathurst in 1987? Does Phil Brock for 1983? --Falcadore 23:08, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- Brad Jones didnt race in the "Race of a Thousand Years" in Adelaide but still has a win in the ALMS. We're talking International Racing not Bathurst. Not sure what the go is there.--NigelPorter 23:17, 5 September 2007 (UTC)
- That makes no difference at all. Even if it did, Bathurst IS an international race, part of the World Toruing Car Championship in 1987 and Crooke has never been accredited as a winner. If anything, ALMS is a bad example because most US series do not conform to FIA regs in that regard. For example, the Indy 500 you can crash in a grid pile-up and still be classified as a race finisher. Third drivers in Formula One aren't accreditted race starts for their efforts either though are they? --Falcadore 01:56, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- In 1983 it was not. 1987 I agree, as it was a round of the WTCC. F1 practice drivers are recognised as an F1 event,ie see Ryan Briscoe. 5 F1 events,no starts. Anyway,a silly topic to be arguing on. Not sure anyone in Australia likes Karl. I know I dont.--NigelPorter 03:04, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- I think he's kinda cute. --Kpaspery 03:06, 6 September 2007 (UTC)
- I agree. No race, no credit. --203.61.139.157 07:26, 7 September 2007 (UTC)
