Its not O, its 0!

[edit]

The correct term is 0 (zero) and not O (letter)! This is due to the absence of A and B antigen! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.108.206.137 (talk) 22:43, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Austrian, American, both?

[edit]

What are the guidelines in that respect? He moved to the US late in life and then later also became American citizen. Most of his life, and perhaps most of his research, was in Austria. Is this really best described as "American of Austrian origins"? Also, in the small box on the right, what are the guidelines?Elephas (talk)

Better structure

[edit]

I suggest an improved structure of the article plus more details about Landsteiner's influence in medical research. --Hans555 16:19, 29 September 2007 (UTC) I suggest hey talk a little more about his Adulthood and hobbies. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 50.162.152.133 (talk) 13:59, 28 September 2014 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

This article matches the official biography on the Nobel Prize website almost word-for-word. [1]. I've submitted it for review on the copyright problems page. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 63.164.196.20 (talk) 22:04, 2 May 2008 (UTC)[reply]

More details from the German Version

[edit]

In good time I will transfer more details from the German Wikipedia, if nobody else does so in the next weeks. --Hans555 (talk) 10:52, 20 September 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I also exploited the standard bio by Paul Speiser.--Hans (talk) 08:42, 27 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Wondering why article got semiprotected...

[edit]

It is mentioned on Google Doodle, however is it customary to have an article mentioned on Google Doodle protected/semiprotected the day it was featured? Ryan (talk) 21:08, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

About the importance

[edit]

The physiology WikiProject regarded it of low importance, which is unacceptable because Karl Landsteiner has been considered to be the father of transfusion medicine, developed the modern system of classification of blood groups and received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine.--RekishiEJ (talk) 10:28, 6 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

When was the finding of Rh factor, 1937 or 1939?

[edit]

In this article, it was 1937, but in Rh blood group system, it was 1939. Which is correct? Timeofglacier (talk) 09:01, 26 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
