Doesn't make sense
[edit]"When she was 13 years old, a surfing accident resulted in Steele's leg being cut by coral. She later developed osteomyelitis in the leg with infection so severe that amputation was seriously considered until a doctor brought to Hawaii from Hong Kong ended the infection."
Does not compute. She was 13 from March 20, 1944 til March 20, 1945. Yet Hong Kong wasn't turned back over to the Brits until 30 Aug 1945. So something is off with this statement. The ref doesn't exactly say what's summarized either. MisawaSakura (talk) 21:01, 18 May 2024 (UTC)
