[edit]The article is a vanity entry on behalf of the author, who is not a notable literary figure. Essentially, this article is the hub for a web of advertisements placed on various Wikipedia articles. Those links are unambiguously non-germane to the topic on which they appear, such as under the guise of pop culture. Unfortunately, pop culture refers to popular culture, which the author is not a part of.
In summary, no one should use Wikipedia as a vanity site or marketing vehicle. That is not what Wikipedia is for. -Anon, Dec 2008
Hey guys,
I only recently noticed that I was on Wikipedia and then, shortly thereafter, that my entry was up for deletion. I was kind of surprised by both, actually. As far as I can tell, someone copied a few things off my web site and called it a day. It's nice that he/she bothered, and I appreciate the thought, but I can't see what purpose it serves since my website contains all this info and more if anyone is interested. So, yes, by all means delete it if you like.
The only reason I am bothering to make a statement is because I resent "Anon"'s post above accusing me of listing myself for vanity and/or publicity. For the record, I did no such thing. I also didn't add any links to any other Wiki articles on any subject. I don't particularly like being accused of things I didn't do by people who don't bother to get the facts straight (and who seem to have some sort of ax to grind as well).
I also resent the statement that my work is somehow not worthy of inclusion. I don't claim to be a modern Shakespeare; I write mass market paperback originals and I guess my Nobel Award letter got lost in the mail. But I have managed to hit the NYT's and USA Today bestseller lists with my last three books. And so, yeah, "Anon," that does make them part of the current popular culture. Sorry about that.
So as I said, feel free to delete the listing. I've already taken the liberty of removing a plot summary of my first book because it contained spoilers, which doesn't really leave much up there, does it? And if in future someone does want to include an article on me, they can always just email me for info. I'm not that hard to find.
Thanks,
Karen Chance
I didnt create this entry as a vanity entry on behalf of the author, I did create this entry for me, because I missed an entry for the american author Karen Chance in the Wikipedia, which is often the first place where I go to find additional informations. Also informations about authors with published work belong into the wikipedia. Without it the wikipedia wouldnt be complete. I am sorry that I couldnt write more, but I had only that little what was written in her books about her.

The point of listing the book is so that readers can be informed and use Wikipedia as a forum to do so. I love the Karen Chance books and other people should have the opportunity to view her series and explore this genre. Can someone add an author biography or more information about the books please
