So, maybe this article needs to mention that this is just the Karai from the new 2003 animated TMNT series. Any experts on Karai in the comics? Because naturally, there ought to be a comic book section in conjunction with the comic book section, as with the other TMNT characters.

It's been a long time since I read anything about Karai in the comics, and my memory might be wrong, but I think her extremely brief appearance largely corresponded to the City at War episodes as in the second series here (her first appearance). I don't think she played any larger role. -- Supermorff 14:56, 15 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

But even despite breif, there should be mention of her Mirage comics incarnation. El Chompiras 19:39, 11 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]
She played a significant part of both the City of War storyline and the early Volume 4 issues. As soon as I can collect more of the issues from one or the other, I will add some information if someone else hasn't by that time. The S 17:06, 31 July 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I sort of did this. --HanzoHattori 13:57, 26 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Lotus Blossom in 1987 series

[edit]

What do you think of mentioning Lotus Blossom from the 1987 series in this article? I think Lotus was based off Karai.DWMD w 05:50, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

There was no Karai yet for years. --HanzoHattori 13:50, 15 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Yeah it is possible Karai was based off of Lotus. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 68.38.83.45 (talk) 14:52, 4 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Karai's Surname

[edit]

I see animated Karai's full name has been altered, from "Karai Saki" to "Oroku Karai". Although the original Mirage version of the Shredder had Oroku as his and his brother's surname, I don't see why that naming convention should be attached to the animated Karai. Oroku Saki and Karai are reffered to as Mr. and Ms. Saki, respectively, in the cartoon; it stands to reason that, in that incarnation at least, their last name is actually "Saki". Unless somebody can present compelling reason why it should remain "Oroku Karai", I'm changing it back. - Ian 136.145.101.176 14:30, 2 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The Shredder's surname is Oroku. I have seen every episode of both the Nickelodeon and 2003 series and do not recall a revelation of a surname; if you could provide a reference that would be helpful but I believe you are mistaken. The IDW series clearly uses Oroku as both the surnames of not only Karai and Saki but also their respective fathers, Yori and Maji 96.59.19.128 (talk) 05:36, 1 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Comic057.JPG

In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Cleaned up, but

[edit]
  • storyline(s) needs to be shortened still (just the essentional stuff)
  • Reception needed!
  • more about the games (I guess)
  • no references (just episdoes of the cartoon and comic issues would be enough for the story) --Asperchu (talk) 16:57, 11 September 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Requested move

The following discussion is an archived discussion of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on the talk page. Editors desiring to contest the closing decision should consider a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.

The result of the move request was: not moved. However, there is a consensus to move Karai (disambiguation) to Karai. Jenks24 (talk) 09:43, 17 June 2014 (UTC) Jenks24 (talk) 09:44, 17 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Karai (character)Karai – It should be lead this article. 75.142.30.100 (talk) 17:02, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

I have created Karai (disambiguation), depending on the result of this RM it should be moved over the baseline. In ictu oculi (talk) 22:39, 9 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
I don't think that is necessary since the only other possibility for Karai (character) would be Nikolai Rostov's dog in War and Peace and I doubt an article about the dog will be created.--69.157.253.74 (talk) 02:14, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Ditto, however if Karai (Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) is preferred to (character) by editors for consistency then certainly no problem. In ictu oculi (talk) 03:59, 10 June 2014 (UTC)[reply]

The above discussion is preserved as an archive of a requested move. Please do not modify it. Subsequent comments should be made in a new section on this talk page or in a move review. No further edits should be made to this section.
