This article badly fails 2b. There are four extant CN tags and multiple other sentences and even entire paragraphs are unsourced. It's a quickfail right there, but that's unfortunately not the only issue. MOS:LEAD isn't followed, with multiple unnecessary citations in the lead. "One of the greatest all-rounders in the history of cricket" - this is the only lead statement that needs citations, as it's obviously POV and could be contentious, but it has no references.

I would argue that it also fails "Well-written" on the basis of being badly disorganized. There are far too many subsections and sub-subsections. Why are "Skills" and "Bowling style" separate sections under "International career"? Why does "Match fixing" require four tiny subsections? Post-retirement doesn't need two separate subsections either. After this, it's a mess. Bibliography is separated from filmography by a section about records (and why is "List of centuries by opponent" under International career rather than under Records?). Why does Achievements exist separately from Records, and with a pointless subsection for Awards?

On top of all this, really basic formatting is off - why are quotes such as "Kapil Dev's sportsmanship proved the deciding factor in a close-run match" in italics? Multiple section headers are incorrectly title cased, but should be sentence cased. Not a GACR, but many citations are poorly formatted.

The article cannot pass GACR until these issues are handled, starting most urgently with the unreferenced portions.
