कुमारी कन्या

[edit]
  • The article starts "Kanya poojan,कुमारी कन्या, is a Hindu holiday ...". But कुमारी कन्या says "kumārī kanyā". Is this correct? (in Sanskrit कुमारी कन्या looks like it means "virgin girl", and "Kanyapuja" means "worship of the virgin(s)". Anthony Appleyard (talk) 10:31, 5 April 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Kumari is a female virgin. Kumar is a male virgin. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 115.252.161.165 (talk) 17:38, 1 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]
