Kantipur daily claims that they have the largest distribution, however, there has been no independent statistics about the distribution base of any newspapers in Nepal.
The state-run daily Gorkhapatra is the oldest one and is kind of mandatory subscription for all government offices, and also most business subscribe to the daily because it publishes most government notices and tenders. Kantipur, on the other hand, has more door-to-door subscribers. So, it's not exactly clear which is the most popular. The fact is both are very popular and it will be very difficult to guess which one is popular without proper fact finding.
So, I would suggest, not to claim the popularity and just create a good encyclopedia article on this matter. Thanks. -- Indiver 15:47, 25 October 2007 (UTC)
