I moved this page here despite other articles with "shimbun" in the title because the website for this newspaper does not state an official romanization of its title. According to Wikipedia style, the title should then read "shinbun." Asahi shimbun actually has an English page featuring the "Shimbun" spelling, but the Kanagawa shinbun's website only displays the name in kanji meaning there is no "official" romanization for the newspaper, or at least none that I can see. Anyway, in addition to the Wikipedia guideline, I generally see the word romanized as "shinbun" when used alone with the exception of older documents/books.
Sorry if you feel this was the wrong move for me to make (no pun intended). If so, contact an admin to get it moved back.
Also, the newspaper's website now redirects to a website for the Kanagawa area. Its editorials are merely blog-like entries further down on the page. I wasn't sure if the editorials should've been linked or not so I left the external link as it was. — Indi[ talk ]13:48, 29 March 2006 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you for your kind assistance. I regret my relative inexperience which is at least as great as my interest and excitement in the topic, so your kind changes are most appreciated!
