[edit]Am I the only one who notices that Kamose's Name is spelled i`H-ms in the pharaohbox? Thanatosimii 23:46, 14 November 2006 (UTC)
- Looks like you are the only one. I have changed it. Markh 09:02, 15 November 2006 (UTC)
Is there really a need for Latin terms to be used on this page to discuss Egyptological matters, i.e. casus belli or modus vivendi? Nowhere in Egyptological textbooks have I ever found those terms, so I kindly request those terms be changed.Cossinius 02:31, 15 November 2007 (UTC)
@Cossinius I'm inclined to agree; it seems a bit pedantic. Besides I'm not sure it's a proper use of the term- if I'm not mistaken, doesn't it usually refer to the ethical justification of a just war, typically in response to an attack of some sort? - but his motive can be ascribed to "nationalistic pride." I might be mistaken, it's been years since I've even seen the term used... Tabbycatlove (talk) 06:27, 1 September 2017 (UTC)
Casus Belli and Montet
[edit]Hey, I can see a reference to Pierre Montet in the section Casus Belli. It says that Montet believed the priests of Amun inspired Kamose to attack the Hyksos. I can see that his book, Eternal Egypt, is in the references, but there is no actual citation. I took the liberty to search Eternal Egypt myself, but I cannot find anything about the priests of Amun. If there is anyone who can find this citation, I'd truly appreciate it. I don't know where else to look. 181.122.159.46 (talk) 07:19, 23 June 2022 (UTC)
