Proposed merger of Kambja Church into Kambja
[edit]I came across Kambja Church while stub-sorting. I don't see any reason why Wikipedia needs both these articles, so I've proposed a merge (which would make Kambja Church "redirect" to Kambja.)
If there is a reason to keep them both, please let me know (just write something on this page). If no one objects, I'll perform the merge in a few weeks.

- @Chris Chittleborough: merging is OK until more info about the church will come (see eg et:Kambja kirik). Moreover, it is possible to redirect Kambja Church to List of churches in Estonia. Eg some lakes of Estonia are redirected to List of lakes in Estonia but not to the village article--Estopedist1 (talk) 17:04, 26 March 2020 (UTC)
- G'day from Australia, 14 years later.
- I forgot to do that merge, but someone else did: see https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Kambja_Church&action=history.
- You are right that we could move the info at Kambja#Kambja_Church into the list of churches, but we would probably want to trim the amount of detail down. Actually, that part of this article probably should be rewritten anyhow.
- Cheers, CWC who would love to visit Estonia some day -- 11:34, 3 April 2020 (UTC)

[edit]Can anyone confirm if Kambja is the birthplace of Estonian choir singing? and is there anyway to include mention of the two boys from Kambja who were taken to Sweden to prove that the Estonians could read and write - which led to the estbalishment of parish schools? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 86.145.164.49 (talk) 20:15, 9 November 2009 (UTC)
