External links modified
[edit]Hello fellow Wikipedians,
I have just added archive links to 2 external links on Kamal Siddiqi. Please take a moment to review my edit. You may add {{cbignore}}
after the link to keep me from modifying it, if I keep adding bad data, but formatting bugs should be reported instead. Alternatively, you can add {{nobots|deny=InternetArchiveBot}}
to keep me off the page altogether, but should be used as a last resort. I made the following changes:
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.globaljournalist.org/stories/2011/04/21/kamal-siddiqi/
- Attempted to fix sourcing for http://www.lib.monash.edu.au/collections/monash-authors/2002/0732622204.html
When you have finished reviewing my changes, please set the checked parameter below to true or failed to let others know (documentation at {{Sourcecheck}}
).

Thoughts on deletion
[edit]@VegasCasinoKid, SwisterTwister, Worldbruce, VanEman, Hobit, LibStar, and Chrisw80: (Tagging everyone who was involved at the AfD) I realised that the AfD was closed with no consensus. I had voted keep at that time, but I am having second thoughts now after seeing subsequent comments on it. Although the subject of the article is the Editor of a major newspaper in Pakistan, I had overlooked the fact that notability is not inherited. At the moment, I can only find one source [1] which covers the subject in detail. All others sources are indeed trivial mentions made in the context of an event affecting the newspaper where the subject was quoted simply because he is the editor. Looking at the references available, I doubt the article can be improved. I would propose that any information relevant to the newspaper be added to The Express Tribune and this article either be deleted or redirected to the The Express Tribune. --Lemongirl942 (talk) 19:04, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- I'm pretty happy with that one source and would prefer to not merge the article. But I don't think a merger is clearly the wrong thing either and if consensus leans that way I'll not be upset. Thanks for following up. Hobit (talk) 19:36, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
- It's good to see editors open to reconsidering a position. Since there was nothing wrong with procedure in the deletion discussion, I suggest doing nothing for a while. Re-evaluate notability in six months. If a fresh search for solid sources doesn't produce results you find convincing, propose a merge and redirect to The Express Tribune. That's an outcome I could get behind. --Worldbruce (talk) 19:52, 11 April 2016 (UTC)
